Sellick Forklifts Alaska

Walter Sellick started making his own business following a long association with a dealer of Ford Tractors. He started by transforming an industrial tractor supplied by Ford Tractor. He modified it into a 6000 pound lift truck to be utilized outdoors. What is now regarded as the turn-around tractor series is comprised of a mast and a counterweight design and basic sub-frame.

The heavy duty lifts have changed in their construction and design. In the year 1975, an integral one-piece frame concept was introduced across all model lines. The basic Ford Tractor power train became retrained as the basic power module for most models. The market was for Sellick straight mast rough terrain lift trucks were well established. The new design together with the state of the art technology paved the way to vastly increased sales during the beginning of the 1980s.

A new part designed series was introduced during the year 1987. This series featured Ford, Perkins and Continental engine options and was equipped with shift-on-the-go transmissions. Furthermore, the low profile SD Series and the SG Series together with the See Thru roller masts came onto the market. The introduction of the 12,000 pound SD Series in the late 1990s along with the optional fully automatic Power-shift transmission showcased the new millennium's technology.

The TMF-55 Truck Mounted Lift Truck was launched during 1995. This machine features 5500 pound capacity. This particular unit is powered by a choice of Deutz or Perkins diesel engine. This design vastly maximizes the complete delivery system-trailer, driver and truck and greatly reduces turn-around time to a minimum. The TMF-55 simply and easily loads itself on the back of a truck or a trailer. This design eliminates the need for towing a trailer and saves huge cargo space.

In 2002, Sellick Equipment Limited became North America's only distributer of the JCB Teletruck. This flexible reach industrial forklift helps to fill out the material handling products selection. It provides supreme versatility and a unique forward reach.

In the year 2004, Sellick launched the S Series of ergonomically friendly forklifts. These models focused a great deal on operator safety and comfort. The business has launched top of the line lift truck design and a new era of manufacturing.
