JLG Telehandlers Alaska

After spending numerous years working together with his brother to establish their crane construction corporation into a leader of the industry, John L. Grove decided to retire. John as well as his wife Cora celebrated their retirement by going on a cross-country trip using their recreational vehicle. After that trip, JLG Industries, Inc. emerged and became the global leading producer of specialized material handling machinery and mobile aerial work platforms.

John spent much of the time in the R.V. trip talking to prior business associates who the Groves were visiting on their trip. While they visited the Hoover Dam, sadly, 2 employees were accidentally electrocuted on scaffolding. During following conversations, John saw a big untapped market for a equipment which can quickly and safely raise people into the air to be able to perform maintenance and construction work.

When John and his wife returned from the journey, John decided to take action. He and two dear friends formed a business and then purchased a small metal fabrication business within McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. In 1970, with an original crew of 20 workers, the trio built and sold the very first JLG aerial work platform. Numerous components of the basic design elements of that first machinery are still being integrated into the current product

The company has come a very long way since John L. Grove drove back into town from his cross-country journey and have grown dramatically since they debuted their first aerial work platform. Even these days, JLG continues to expand into additional global markets. Lots of innovative machinery are made to help clients work safer and be more productive.

JLG has remained committed to being the leader in the industry. The business takes operator comfort into consideration really seriously. They attempt to deliver in performance, along with overall comfort and safety so that the operator can be as productive as possible.
