Motorized Pallet Truck
The Walkie-Rider, Walkie or Rider is a Motorized Pallet Truck that is basically a motorized version of a pallet jack. They come in both "Rider" versions as well as "Walkie" models.
The walkie model as the name implies, is made to enable the operator to walk alongside the machinery as they lift and transport cargo. The operator stands on a small platform on the Rider model. The rider models are ideal for frequent moving of loads over extended distances in warehouses and manufacturing operations. They are extremely maneuverable and fast.
It is essential to remember that there is no safety cage on this model and hence, it is not recommended to move tall or unstable loads using these machinery. A rider can be the perfect answer if you are looking for an inexpensive way of moving loads from one location to another. If though, you are required to transport heavy loads short distances, and prefer to utilize a more employee-friendly unit rather than a pallet jack, the walkie model can be the best choice.
Order Selector
The order picker or order selector is a piece equipment made specially for manual handling of less-than-pallet-load quantities in racking. There are fixed forks connected to a platform in the Man-up design. This particular platform elevates both the load and the operator with a purpose to facilitate manual loading and unloading from racking areas.
Typically, the order selector is a very narrow aisle vehicle which could operate in smaller aisles. They are extremely handy pieces of equipment in physical inventories as well as during cycle counting situations. Order selectors are available in lift heights up to 40 feet high, though models which range in the 20 to 30 foot range are much more popular.
