Articulating Booms - Electric and Bi-Energy
The Bi-Energy and Genie DC machinery made by Terex provide emission-free and quiet operation in the most sensitive work applications. Like for example, in industrial environments where the machine should travel large distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the advantages and versatility of a diesel powered generator using a 48 Volt DC machinery.
Important features which this combination provides is out, up and over positioning capabilities for complete flexibility. As well, the zero tail-swing provided by most models, combined with the tight turning radius offers easy maneuvering through narrow aisles and standard doors.
The drive and proportional controls provide the machinery with precise boom positioning and smooth drive performance. For emission free and quiet operation suitable for sensitive settings, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models available to function with an additional working range for particular jobs. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform which rotates ninety degrees to either side.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
The Terex Genie is great for industrial applications and outdoor construction applications. This model offers engine-powered articulating Z booms that combine extreme lifting versatility and up, out and over positioning capabilities. The outreach provided by this type is second to none in the market.
The diesel engines with articulating booms offer zero tail-swing on the majority of models and have a tight turning radius. These machines are ideal for maneuvering in confined locations. Furthermore, they provide exceptional torque, terrain and grade maneuverability and utmost power. The diesel engines are quiet in general also. The majority of models have active oscillating axle and full time drive positive drive traction system to offer great flexibility on uneven and rough surfaces.
High ground clearance is provided in 4 or 2 wheel drive models, while the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom models are available and offer extra range capabilities. On non-jib types, the self-leveling platform also rotates to ninety degrees on these models as well.
