Use a Pneumatic Forklift
You can normally find pneumatic forklifts in shipping and warehouse operations. Also called pallet trucks or pump trucks, they are utilized in order to move products and supplies around on wooden pallets using metal forks mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight contains a pump that can raise the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is intended to be operated by a single individual.
To prevent loosing control while raising heavy loads, pallet trucks should always be operated with care. Machine must be checked prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstructions. Make sure that the handle could smoothly turn. The pallet should be stacked carefully in order to guarantee that nothing will fall off during transportation.
In order to release air in the pump and lower the forks, squeeze the lever located on the inside of the metal loop on the end of the pallet truck's handle. The forks can then be pushed into the slots of the pallet. The forks should be at the center to be able to guarantee equal distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Raise the forks from the ground by pumping the pneumatic lift's handle until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not raise the pallet very high or the forklift can unbalance.
Move the pallet by pulling on the handle and then dragging it behind you. It is really not safe to push the pallet in front of you since the momentum can cause it to go out of control. Slowly take turns and don't attempt to stop suddenly. Stop slowly, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
