Heavy Forklifts
With their new series of heavy forklift trucks, Hyundai is targeting a new customer base. A variety of industries, from the natural stone and concrete industries, to the steel industry, the railway sector and the transportation of heavy goods in the ports are all relying upon and working with heavy duty equipment. The power and efficiency provided by the units keep cost of operation low and provide the best conditions for economical work. These equipment can excel in the nearly all demanding settings.
The Cummins diesel engines ranging from 162 horse-power to 250hp offers the needed power on all of the large capacity units. TierIII emission standards are met with the 6 cylinder engines. These models are able to take the truck up to a speed of 35 km/h. It provides for a high climbing ability on steep slopes and rough terrain and also offers great acceleration.
In order to select 1 of 2 driving modes, the operator could use a switch. While in "Power" mode, full power is available for work on heavy loads or tough terrain. In the "STP" mode, the trucks are able to save a lot of fuel during light-duty work. Furthermore, just by pressing a switch, the operator can automatically maintain a selected speed without touching the accelerator pedal. This is an added fuel saving feature. The fully automatic transmission of the forklift gently shifts through the gears, making the machinery comfortable to use and simple to maneuver.
A spacious and comfortable working place is provided by a well-ventilated cabin. The cabin combines high performance with fatigue-free work. The powerful air conditioning and heating system helps ensure the operator has a comfortable interior. The cab was designed ergonomically to offer a bird's eye view of all of the controls, adding to the overall safety of the unit. A CD player and an MP3 player put the finishing touches on providing the nice atmosphere that Hyundai machinery are supposed to have.
